As regional travel continues to recover following disruptions, we are encouraged
by the resilience and confidence shown across both corporate and leisure sectors.
In this edition, we share travel trends, airline and visa updates, and insights into the
months ahead. We also introduce our new Meetings, Groups & Events division,
designed to support organisations with seamless event and group travel management.

Travel Trends Observed Over
the Last Month
The recent GCC crisis temporarily disrupted
regional travel through airspace closures,
cancellations and grounded aircraft.
However, demand has steadily recovered,
with business now operating at nearly
75% across both corporate and leisure
segments. Business travel represented
61% of overall activity last month, followed
by annual leave travel at 24% and leisure at
15%. We have also seen a strong increase
in corporate events within the UAE and
internationally for Q3.
Airline operations across the Gulf continue to strengthen, with
regional carriers now scaling back up to normal schedules on most
key routes as airspace restrictions ease and corporate and leisure
demand continues to rebound. Emirates has restored 96% of their
global network. Indian carriers have returned to the market, restoring
important connectivity across key regional and long-haul routes.
Many international airlines are still operating reduced schedules
into the Middle East pending the lifting of government travel
advisories and wider operational approvals. Turkish Airlines has
announced resumption of operations from 9th June to and from
Dubai. Singapore Airlines and Philippine Airlines are both targeting
a Middle East resumption from 2 August 2026. European carriers
including British Airways, Lufthansa Group, Air France-KLM and
SWISS are planning phased resumptions between July and
October, while United Airlines and Air Canada are not expected to
fully restore regional schedules until late summer or early autumn.
With limited international competition on several long-haul routes,
airfare pricing is expected to remain elevated over the coming
months, particularly during peak summer periods.

Trends
Within the leisure segment, staycations
accounted for 64% of bookings, supported by
competitive pre-Eid Al Adha holiday offers
across the UAE and GCC. International
leisure travel made up 36% of bookings, with
Japan, Azerbaijan, Singapore, Malaysia, the
UK, Spain and Italy among the strongest-
performing destinations.
We are seeing leisure travellers increasingly
favour flexible, refundable rates, while
booking windows have shortened compared
to previous Eid holiday periods.

Please note the following important points:
Ø
Schengen visa appointment availability is entirely controlled
by the respective embassies and VFS/BLS application
centres.
Ø Waiting periods may vary depending on the destination
country and seasonal demand.
Ø Late registration may result in limited or no appointment
availability before the intended travel period.
Ø
Effective next month, an additional AED 635 will apply for
Special/VIP appointments in countries where such services
are available.
Ø Travellers are strongly advised not to confirm any non-
refundable bookings until the visa application process has
been initiated appropriately.
Please be advised that Schengen visa appointment availability
remains extremely limited across most European embassies
and visa application centres. Due to exceptionally high demand
and extended waiting periods, we strongly recommend that all
travellers planning to visit Europe register for visa appointment
waitlists as early as possible.
Clients intending to travel between September and December
2026 are requested to enrol on the appointment waitlist
immediately to minimise the risk of delays or missing their
planned travel dates.
As appointment slots are released subject to embassy
availability and demand, securing appointments within
short timelines cannot be guaranteed. To ensure smoother
processing, we recommend registering for the waitlist at least
six months prior to the intended date of travel.

Future Travel Outlook
Following the reopening of UAE airspace on May 2, 2026, airline
operations are steadily normalising, supporting confidence across
the industry. While demand is expected to continue growing, rising
fuel prices are contributing to airfare increases of 7%–10%, making

تسـببت األزمة األخيرة في دول مجلس التعاون
الخليجـي إلـى تأثـر حركـة السـفر اإلقليمية بسـبب
إغالق بعـض المجـاالت الجويـة وإلغـاء الـرحالت
وتوقــف عــدد مــن الطائــرات عــن التشــغيل. إال

فــي جميــع أنحــاء اإلمــارات ودول مجلــس
36% التعــاون الخليجــي. وشــكل الســفر الدولــي
مــن الحجــوزات، حيــث كانــت اليابــان وأذربيجــان
وسـنغافورة وماليزيا والمملكة المتحدة وإسبانيا
.وإيطاليــا مــن أبــرز الوجهــات المطلوبــة
نجـد أن السـياح يفضلون بشـكل متزايد األسـعار
المرنــة والقابلــة لالســترداد، فــي حيــن تقلصــت
